Regarding Printer Queue Monitor Viewer Running But Nothing

Pls help me  Sir Marrion

here is what i get when running it

 

Application: Initialising the printer usage reports collection from
A first chance exception of type 'System.ArgumentException' occurred in Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll
Creating printer context menu

 

but the print usage viewer runs except it dont show anything on the datagrid thanks happy new year to all...

Hi

Does the drop-down list show the different queries that can be run? (Click the drop-down button with the magnifying glass on it)

If no - probably there is a database connection or access rights issue?

If yes - are the printers being monitored listed in the [Printers] filter?

Thanks for the quick reply sir marrion btw when i click the magnifying glass drop down nothing happens... :(

and another thing the PUMA manager when i add printer i cant add it using the manager so i use the database to insert the printers, i can add server name but the printers it dont.

is Operating system has issue on this because im using windows 7 and server sql2008 and vb.net 2008 thanks

Do you have a password in the actual config connection string? Most likely it can't connect to the database. Chech the config string in the (working) printer monitor service.

Ok thanks sir Marrion i think my problem is my sqlserver im gonna check its connections and security i keep you posted hehe i really want to make this work....

sir marrion i encountered this problem when running the Puma Usage Monitor where  you add printer server

this is the error while adding printer on the print server.

A first chance exception of type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException' occurred in System.Data.dll

i can add printer server but printers cant..

thanks in advance im stuck
